Case Study: the new Bandwood website
Jan 31st
Web design and development: Sometimes it takes the opportunity to conquer a large, intimidating and extremely challenging project before you realise: it can be scary stuff.
I recently completed a new website for Bandwood Pty Ltd; an Australian software design, development and consultancy company. It is, to date, the most extensively structured and coded website I have ever had to construct. In this article I will detail the process, the tears and the triumphs that became the Bandwood website.
We begin with the original website (best viewed in Internet Explorer 5 or greater, by the way!):

Cliff Joins The Beatles
Dec 22nd
In 1969, there was no internet, no YouTube, no Facebook… how on earth did people find out about things!?
Let me introduce you to the latest show which I have been given the opportunity to design the complete marketing collateral. It’s called ‘Cliff Joins The Beatles’, and it’s a musical fantasy starring Marty Rhone & the Beatle Boys. The show plays on the idea of what would happen if Cliff Richard joined the Beatles after his split with the Shadows in 1969. Quite an interesting concept, and an equally as interesting (or challenging) advertising campaign would be needed to help bring the More >

The new TV commercial for Parkinson’s NSW titled ‘The Role Reversal’ is now online. I had originally wrote an article about the production of the ad, and you can now see the finished product using the embedded video player below:

A new TV commercial is about to be aired to help raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. The ad is going to give younger people living with Parkinson’s the opportunity to tell their story, whether they are sufferers of the disease or are close family members to those who are. The idea is to educate the public and let people know that it is not just a disease that effects the elderly, but can effect people as young as their 20s.

Scripts to Flicks – Winner announced!
Sep 20th
Hi folks! I am happy to finally announce the winner of the Scripts to Flicks competition!
Congratulations to Alison Erlanger for her short film script ‘What Comes First’!
I received quite a large number of awesome screenplays, with a range of different genres, styles and formats, and was very impressed with the overall standard of work. But in the end there could only be one winner an I very much look forward to collaborating with Alison during the production of the (soon to be realised) on-screen production!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who submitted scripts. I have already More >

Parkinson’s Unity Walk 2011 TV Commercials
Aug 3rd
Recently the TV commercials for the 2011 Parkinson’s Unity Walk featuring Peter Fitzsimons went live to air. A few different versions of the ads were produced for national distribution and air-time, each with their own state/region specific details. You might spot them on some of your favourite TV channels including 7, 9, 10 and Foxtel (or their region equivalents). Have you seen them on TV?
The ads were shot using the Canon 5D MkII digital SLR. It was my first experience with the camera and so far it has been a rewarding one. Justin Fisher, my film and video partner in More >
