Back to the Future – Parts 2 & 3 mini-marathon!
After the huge success of last year’s 25th anniversary charity screening of Back to the Future in Sydney, we are going to Double Back… literally!
Back to the Future parts 2 and 3 will be screening at Event Cinemas George St, Sydney on Sunday April 3rd. But the trilogy is not the only thing coming back to the cinema… Doc Braun’s amazing replica time machine will also be making a return appearance.
If you did not have a chance to come to the screening and see the time machine, some of you might have seen it on the front page of Sydney’s MX newspaper when it was published a few days before our first screening. We were all of course really stoked to get a front page article for the event, and hope to get some great coverage this year not only for the event, but to bring awareness to Parkinson’s who are once again the benefiting charity of the event.
We are also very pleased that Universal will be proving us with the proper 2K digital cinema release prints of the recent;y digitally remastered films. So for all your videophiles out there I’m am sure the films won’t disappoint.
I am of course taking care of all the design and multimedia collateral for the event. Including the updating of the Back to the Movies website, along with advertising media such as flyers and posters. It’s always great when your job happens to revolve around a passion (in this case, the BTTF trilogy) from time to time!
I was extremely fortunate to also be granted the opportunity to take Doc Braun’s DeLorean for a spin last time he was up in Sydney! While I was unable to take it up to 88mph and see some serious sh*t, I was able to fulfil one of my lifelong dreams! Check out the video below to see me driving the DeLorean!
For those of you who are Sydney Locals and want to catch Parts 2 and 3 at the movies, tickets are available at www.backtothemovies.com.au. If you are going to be in attendance I will of course be there in my best BTTF kit, so please come up and say hi!
Well then, I might see you all in the future… or the past.
