Latest website: Wahroonga BeautySpot
About a week ago I completed a new website for the Wahroonga BeautySpot beauty salon.
The new website was the 3rd phase of a complete branding revamp I have been performing for the salon, with the first and second phases being a new logo design and new price list and brochures respectively.
The websites design needed to reflect not only the nature of the business but also needed remain consistent with the colour scheme, style and décor of the salon. The use of imagery, coupled with the dynamic and rich nature of the content, help to make the user experience as visually pleasing as possible. The simplicity of the navigation ensures the site’s information is easily accessible to all viewers. All of these were important because for many clients, this website will be their first point of contact with the salon, and subsequently represent the quality of service they will be receiving when they visit. Providing people with a consistent experience across all facets of the business is not only essential for establishing a good brand identity, but also works towards building a positive reputation.
From a technical perspective, the site was created using a customised content management system, which enables the client / business owner to log-in and make their own updates to the site’s content and media from anywhere in the world. This eliminates the need to refer back to the designer (in this case: me) for trivial changes.
To see the website in action, please visit Wahroonga BeautySpot.
